Make your own TV Box and turn LCD TV into Smart TV

Image
Want to buy an Android TV Box like Mi Box 4k? Think before you go to buy it! If you can make your own such a box then why give your money to china? Maybe it would be a little costlier than Mi Box 4k, but it's your own made, and if it is made in bulk by someone then it can really compete with the Mi Box 4k in price too. Here is my version of the TV Box powered by the Raspberry Pi. I have a semi-smart TV(Sony Bravia LED TV) that does not have an android but it is able to play some formats of videos, pictures, and audio from a USB drive, supports screen mirroring from some android phones supports casting from Sony Xperia phones only😏 (now not available in the Indian market, but luckily I have an old one).  There are many cases in which I miss many features and I wish it would be great if I had a smart TV. Then I started looking for some android TV box but most of them are made in china.  So we can't buy it, really we can't, we must not buy it. Now there are many smart TVs als...

Save Water

Image
A clean water source is limited on earth. As we see water levels are decreasing under the earth while drilling a borewell. there are ways to recycle water or seawater but it is costlier power consuming and energy-consuming. Still, millions of people around the world are still not getting pure drinking water. There are so many ways of saving and reusing water. So many ways we already know but here are some other ways that most of us may not have thought about or not following usually. R.O. water purifiers are the heavy eater (actually drinker 😉) of water.      We can reuse rejected water from R.O. in floor-cleaning, watering plants, and other similar applications.      Generally, R.O. purifiers reject the same amount of water that it purifies. for example, if you purify 1 bottle of water then 1bottle of water is wasted in the rejected outlet. and generally, it goes into our washbasin sink. so we can collect that water by bucket or other ...

Use of Indian Products

Image
We heard that baba Ramdev announced swadeshi jeans. Baba Ramdev is the great well wisher of the country. No one can ignore his success to patanjali products. he gave tough competition to all other companies alone single handed. Other than daily use products like toothpaste and soap, and Jeans, there is a huge market of toys mobile phones and electronics from china. For mobile phones we can have other options but Toys??!! no way! You will rarely see kids toys from any country other than china. Why? can't india make toys? Yes, we can, and actually we are making better toys like we have wooden toys, Gullel, Lattu, Flute, Marbles, clay toys, etc.   But there is no good market of such toys and due to cheap Chinese toys these toys are losing its market. Below is the news paper cutting that shows how 200 yrs old Indian Toy market is extincting due to chinese toys. Goto any known famous place like Mathura, Ujjain, Omkareshwar, Vaishnodevi, Somnath, Agra, Goa, any tourist place from kas...

Smart Transportation

Image
Smart Transportation It is a rare day that you won't take some form of transportation A bus, train, or car to work. A bike to school. A plane for a business trip. And even if you don't leave your home, your life is still influenced by the transportation industry: virtually every tangible good—food, clothing, medicine, vehicles, computers—has been transported into your world from somewhere else. Cities could not exist if we didn't have transportation systems to move people and goods in, out, and around them. It has been a leading driver behind globalization: shrinking distances, seeding the emergence of entirely new economies, and improving the quality of life for millions of people. Yet many of our transportation systems are inadequate to serve the needs of the 21st century. By integrating technology and intelligence into the physical transportation infrastructure, we can improve capacity, enhance the traveler experience and make our transportation systems more efficient, ...

Home made solar Mobile charger

Image
I am using my homemade solar charger for my batteries and mobile. And you? Here is the simplest way of making it: I had one 3W 12V solar panel, I could not use the output of the solar panel directly to charge the battery. The power supply required to charge mobile phones and batteries needs to be smooth regulated 5 volts. So First I tried to make the power supply regulator using the old mobile charger. you can take out the rectifier portion and use the regulator of the old charger to give the 12v unregulated output of the solar panel. Later, I found one old car mobile charger that uses 12v from the battery and gives 5v output. my purpose solved!! I gave output from solar panel to car charger's 12 v input. that's all. Solar panel costs 400 and Car mobile charger 150, so total 550, and some soldering. or if we use a regular old mobile charger then it will cost just 450. make use of old sony ericsson phone speakers

Image
I had a Sony Ericsson phone w610i which was stolen and it came with two speakers when I bought it. Now speakers are of no use without that phone. I wanted to use them with my laptop or any phone using a USB supply and 3.5mm audio jack. I searched for a Sony Ericsson pin diagram and found a link from "Suhashtech". I found the pin diagram, I had one old damaged card reader and an old damaged headphone. That's all thing I need! I used a card reader for USB power supply form laptop (we can use any mobile charger, too), soldered headphone's mic wires to the card reader on one side, and at another side connected it with my Sony Ericsson speaker's power supply. Thus the power supply part is done! Now for the speaker's left and right channel connection, I used 4 wires those come from audio jack and connects to the left and right speakers of the headphone. I removed headphone speakers and soldered those wires with sony Ericsson speaker's left and right channels. Th...
